Essential information

The following information is absolutely essential either when ordering or considering the make-up of a dummy. All information must be given as listed under the headings below.

Finished size

These are the final dimensions of the dummy after it has been folded, bound and trimmed

Format

There are two formats:
Portrait - Spine is the longest dimension
Landscape - Spine is the shortest dimension

Material

This is the type of paper and board to be used. If there is a cover and text then the materials should be specified separately.

Number of pages

These are usually expressed as "printed pages" or pp. The number of pages for cover and text should be specified separately.

Binding

If the dummy is not a folded format and is bound together the type of binding must be specified e.g. Wire stitched, perfect bound, wire-o bound etc.
